THE VA
I received a call from the Houston VA on this trip in regard to follow-up on my prostate surgery in 2013. They were concerned I need further treatment but have to clear any further treatment through my local VA provider in Arkansas. (treatment NOT procedure) There is not time this trip so it will have to wait until we come back next time.

The VA was supposed to cut back my compensation in the August check but they did not. I checked my current active health problems on file and maybe they finally did also: Stage three chronic renal impairment (kidney disease); Hashimoto thyroiditis; Recurrent urinary tract infection; Thyroiditis, Autoimmune; Essential Hypertension; Epididymal cyst; Diverticulosis, Colonic and Unspecified disorder resulting from impaired renal function. All of these are - have a billable medical code that can be used to specify a diagnosis on a reimbursement claim.

I had to make a quick trip up the Mt Vernon this morning (10th) because I have a VERY sharp pain in my tail bone which developed in the last 24 hours and might cause major problems once we start traveling and sitting on planes for long distances. They took a series of x-rays (I could not even lay flat on the x-ray table because the pain was so bad) and a vial of blood to test my PSA. I am managing the pain with high doses of Ibuprofen and hope to hear something from the doctor tomorrow.

RELIEF FUNDS FOR REBUILDING AFTER CYCLONE PAM
Kathy and I are humbled and at loss for words of the outpouring of funds to help in the rebuilding after Cyclone Pam. Thank you so very much for the people of Vanuatu.

I have heard from Goman and they have given out all the food we had stored and they will be restocking in the weeks ahead and continuing to assist where needed and giving out help. He said the government has said the last food hand-outs will be in July, even though there is still a need until gardens get back to pre-cyclone growing rates. We also may have to help with building materials for housing until the bush materials re-grow. So if you can help a bit more - we and the work would appreciate it very much.

Our plans are still to return home August 19th. We are packing trunks, suitcases and dufflebags now and saying our good-byes with last minute meals.

Thanking you all so much for your prayers and extra support for recovery. May God bless you richly as He has us.

Onward and upward!

Thank you so much for all of you who are praying for us, supporting us and have contributed to our needs. God bless you! Thank you for your prayers!

Thank you Lord for healing and providing what we need!

Grace & Peace

Tobey & Kathy Huff
