Dear Friends, Brethren and Family

Travels
The end of September we were able to spend a couple of days at the Harding University Lectureships. It was good to be on campus, see old friends and hear some good talks. We had a reunion of some of the friends with whom we went to Sunset School of Preaching (1971-1973) at Jim & Nell Stamatis' house in Searcy.

After Mission's Sunday in Joplin at our sponsoring congregation on Oct 3rd, Kathy and I embarked on a three week trip through Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. We met with individuals, congregations and various mission groups and we able to present our work and needs. We were also able to spend a few days with Chris, Terasa and the kids in Coker Alabama.

We have had a very positive reception for The Bible School in Fiji but the funds are still not coming. We still have just over $4500 raised to date.

We really need $30,000 to take back to do the initial ground clearing, garden planting and building of at least some housing, classroom and administration space.

Medical
I had my prostate biopsy done at the VA in Fayetteville last Tuesday (Oct 2th) and the results should come back soon. I have one more consultation at the VA about a cyst I have on November 2nd.

Kathy has an appointment to have some of her moles checked and a scheduled colonoscopy (with two different doctors).

Return to Fiji
We have booked our return flight to Fiji for November 30th. This allows us to celebrate Thanksgiving with the family. That will get us back into Fiji December 2nd the start of their summer. It is already getting too cold for us here! This also allows us more time to talk with congregations and people about our needs and hopefully to secure support for the building of the school property.

We Still need your help
We really need your help setting up appointments to talk with congregations and people who can help us with the plan of building the Bible training school in Fiji and for additional personal support ($600 p/month) that we are trying to secure.

If any of you can help with one time help financially it would be appreciated.
